Fasting is when a person voluntarily abstains from food for a given time to devote himself or herself to prayer. Fasting is a way to humble ourselves. Fasting should never be done to show off one’s devotion to Christ. Fasting is a time of intimate fellowship with the Lord in prayer and Bible Study.

Recommended Fasting Options:

Please select and commit to one of the following options for
fasting.

Option 1: 
Take at least one 24-hour period each week and fast by not eating and instead drink fluids such as water, tea, broth and/or fruit juices.

Option 2 : 
If you are new to fasting or have health-related concerns select one meal per week to fast. Please be sure to consult with your healthcare provider before fasting if you
have any concerns.
